Born on February 9, 1934 in Fresno, California, Ted Wills (Theodore Carl Wills) played for the Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 5 year career. Wills broke into the bigs on May 24, 1959 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 5.27 ERA in 56.1 innings pitched in 1959, his rookie year.
