Ted Richards (Edward J. Richards) was born on November 7, 1901 in , IL. After going to high school at New Trier Township (IL), Richards attended the University of Illinois. Richards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 1 year career.
