Born on January 31, 1955 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Ted Power (Ted Henry Power) played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 13 year career. Power broke into the bigs on September 9, 1981 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and put up a 4.54 ERA in 111 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ted Power's best season was 1985, when he posted a 2.70 ERA and notched 27 saves.
