Ted Kubiak (Theodore Roger Kubiak) was born on May 12, 1942 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1967 for the Kansas City Athletics. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .249 with 2 home runs and 27 RBI. Kubiak played for the Kansas City Athletics, Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers and San Diego Padres over the course of his 10 year career.
