Ted Hopkins (Edward J. Hopkins) was born on December 5, 1890 in Canton, Ohio. After going to high school at McKinley (Canton, OH), Hopkins attended none. Hopkins made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Columbus Panhandles. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Columbus Panhandles the entire time. Hopkins also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Columbus Panhandles the entire time.
