Ted Hazelwood (Theodore Eugene Hazelwood) was born on April 25, 1924 in Silverwood, Indiana. After going to high school at Frankfort (IN), Hazelwood attended the University of North Carolina. Hazelwood made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the Chicago Hornets. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Hornets the entire time. Hazelwood also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Washington Redskins the entire time.
