Ted Grabinski (Thaddeus Grabinski) was born on February 6, 1916. After going to high school at Ambridge (PA), Grabinski attended Duquesne University. Grabinski made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Grabinski also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bisons the entire time.
