Ted Dean (Theodore Curtis Dean) was born on March 24, 1938 in Radnor, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Radnor (PA), Dean attended Wichita State University. Dean made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1961 was Ted Dean's best year, as he had 462 kick return yards.
