Ted Cottrell (Theodore John Cottrell) was born on June 13, 1947 in Chester, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Chester (PA)*, Cottrell attended Delaware Valley College. Cottrell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1969 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for his entire 2 year career.
