Tank Younger (Paul Younger) was born on June 25, 1928 in Grambling, Louisiana. After going to high school at Grambling (LA), Younger attended Grambling State University. Younger made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1954 was Tank Younger's best year, as he ran for 610 yards and ran in 8 TDs.
