Welcome to the first annual Armchair GM Award ceremonies, brought to you by your hosts, BigPPup and UfGators. This is where we take the opportunity to acknowledge those contributors to Armchair GM who have gone above and beyond the ordinary, and made this the top sporting site on the web.
In this article we will recognize those who have brought us the informative, the comical, the best and the worst over the past year.

Most Outside the Box: This award is given to the writer who gives us the most unique information on the sports that you normally pass right by in the Sunday paper.
Winner: Sportsdot for their extensive coverage of the NHL and Racing, and Alex Holowczak for his coverage on everything else, as well as teaching us about snooker and proper soccer terminology.
Biggest Homer: Awarded to that user who loves their hometown and isn’t afraid to let the rest of the site know it.
Winner: Bleeding_Green
Best New Comer: Given to the user who has shot up the rankings quickly and efficiently, while making a positive mark on the site.
Winner: UfGators
Funniest Article: This is awarded to the user and the article that was creative and undeniably funny for all who saw.

Rookie of the Year: Awarded to the user who has left their mark on Armchair GM in a quick an effect manor and appears to be on the move.

Most Opinionated: Awarded to the user who is never shy about giving us their opinion, whether you want to hear it or not.

The Scoop Award: Given to the user who beats everyone to the punch when writing recaps of certain events

The Humanitarian: Awarded to the user who toils over the site endlessly making it a better place for everyone who comes through on a daily basis.

Writer of the year: Awarded to the user who has dominated the top of the leader board while keeping it real and helping the young users establish themselves on the site.

A Word From DNL, in reference to BigPPup and UFgators: I'm glad to hear that you two don't know each other... in fact, that was my hope. We're trying to build a community here, and I'm looking for examples of a community being built. Basically, I want to see if we're on the right track. The fact that two people who would have otherwise not met have decided, between themselves, to undertake this project is simply awesome. I applaud both of you and want to let you both know that it's these types of things that give us the motivation to keep plugging away and improving ArmchairGM. We're aiming for the ultimate community of sports fans, and I think you're proving that we're on the right track. Thanks for your help!
