T.O. asks 'Why me?' for media's criticism, Who is He Kidding???

According to www.nfl.com, Terrell Owens on the show Real Sports, with Bryant Gumbel, blames the media for portraying him as a selfish player. He admits to the fact that he dishes out more dirt than he is willing to take, but he blames that on his upbringing. He said it has to do with how he grew up. That's why he takes shots at every organziation that he ever been in? Please. Shut up already.

He says that the million dollar question is "Why Me?" Why does the press call him out as being selfish all the time? He says that the media is using him to attract viewers. What???

Hey T.O, do you think it might be the fact that you play for one year on a team, and then decide you are God's gift to receivers and deserve more money? You think it might have to do with when you are sitting out of training camp, telling us with your idiot agent Drew Rosenhaus that you can't feed your family on the millions you make? Telling us you can't play for the Eagles.

T.O, you are a loudmouth. The Philadelphia Eagles were 100 % right to make you sit out for the season. Stop annoying us all and please shut up.

I heard Terrell is a pretty unique individual. But he should understand he IS a lightning rod for attention. Perceptions can be wrong, I can't imagine what you'd think I'm really like. Or as I said on a barely crappier take of this same subject "He has 16 games left to make up for it" Of course, you know that the media digs writing stories just like these so people can tell them to stop writing stories like these by writing stories like these themselves.

C'mon, Manny, you know what we think of you. And if you've forgotten, I'm sure we'll see another opinion piece, probably authored by you or one of your aliases, debating the topic.

Here's the thing that I think is funny - people giving Owens credit for Philly's success. Philly made it to through the playoffs and into the Superbowl with Owens. Then, with TO making the comeback that his ghostwriter called "heroic," the Eagles get beat down in the Superbowl. The next season, TO plays with an injured McNabb. McNabb isn't 100%, but Owens is, and the Eagles are losing. Can there really be any doubt about what makes that team run? I have no patience for people who think TO has ANYTHING to do with Philly's success in 2004.

Sorry, should have said they made it to the Superbowl WITHOUT Owens.

I actually think that TO had a lot to do with the eagles success. Sure, they were good before but they never really dominated teams the way they did when TO was there. Their receivers were (are?) pretty awful, McNabb often looked bad throwing. Don't forget who was puking in the superbowl - it wasn't TO.

McNabb got to three straight NFC Championship games with TO, and he won on his fourth try without TO. He helped them dominate teams during the regular season, but he had nothing to do with that team reaching the Super Bowl.

McNabb also lost those three straight NFC Championship games. Their receivers were awful in 2004, no receiver caught a touchdown in Sept/Oct of that yr. Why do you think they went after TO to begin with? And TO had nothing to do with the super bowl run? They clinched homefield advantage for the playoffs on the day TO injured his ankle. Don't you think homefield advantage and a bye might have made the super bowl run just a bit easier?

It made it easier, I'm just saying that McNabb won that game, not TO. You joke about McNabb being the one throwing up in crunch time, but you want to give TO credit for something he wasn't even on the field for!

I can't wait to see the sideline fist-fight between him, Bledsoe and the Tuna.

ASwaff can you at least admit that having TO in 2004 made your team more explosive offensively? I agree that McNabb makes them go, but can you accept the fact that McNabb in the pocket throwing to TO, LJ, Westbrook, and Pinkston over the course of 16 games is better than McNabb in traffic, dodging blitzes and inevitably getting hurt? So, if nothing else, admit that McNabb's sustained health in 2004 was due in large part to pressure off the QB b/c everyone had to worry about TO, Westbrook, etc.
