Sylvester Byrd (Sylvester Carl Byrd) was born on May 1, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas. After going to high school at Kansas University (Lawrence, KS) and Ward (Kansas City, KS), Byrd attended the University of Kansas. Byrd made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for his entire 1 year career.
