Born on February 12, 1895 in Joliet, Illinois, Sweetbread Bailey (Abraham Lincoln Bailey) played for the Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 3 year career. Bailey broke into the bigs on May 23, 1919 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.15 ERA in 71.1 innings pitched in 1919, his rookie year.
