Stuffy Stewart (John Franklin Stewart) was born on January 31, 1894 in Jasper, Florida. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1916 for the St. Louis Cardinals. Stewart played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Brooklyn Robins and Washington Senators over the course of his 8 year career.
