Stu Smith (Stuart Moore Smith) was born on February 3, 1915 in Montour Falls, New York. After going to high school at Cook Academy (Montour Falls, NY), Smith attended Bucknell University. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1938 was Stu Smith's best year.
