Stiles Tours the Sports Zodiac: Gemini

by user Manny Stiles

Stiles takes stop # 12 on the yearlong tour. Yeah, once again, so what! I'm late as Gemini has already passed, but that doesn't change is a Gemini and who isn't, soooo... Let's get to it!

Gemini - "the third sign of the zodiac, symbolized by twins. Astrologers consider people whose birthdays fall between May 21 and June 21 to be born under the sun sign of Gemini. The planet Mercury, named after the ancient Roman messenger god, rules Gemini, which is an air sign.

Gemini

According to astrologers, Geminis tend to be quick-witted, changeable, talkative, versatile, and sometimes crafty or mischievous. Geminis are known for their ability to express themselves, and are witty, clever, and often well-read. They usually have something to say about everything. Astrologers believe that typical Geminis have highly developed intellects, and that they place greater importance on learning than on emotional or practical issues. However, they consider Geminis to be so clever that they can give the impression of deep emotion or of the practicality of their desires.

Astrologers believe Geminis have the ability, and often the need, to do more than one thing at a time. Geminis are so interested in everything that they get bored easily and often cannot resist moving on to the next subject, tendencies which can make them seem shallow and fickle. Professions associated with the sign Gemini include teaching, journalism, publishing, sales, and other professions that require verbal skills and flexibility."

"quick-witted, changeable, talkative, versatile, and sometimes crafty or mischievous." Tell me Iverson isn't that. He needs to be in the showdown. "so clever that they can give the impression of deep emotion or of the practicality of their desires." Practice? You wanna talk about practice? Not a game, we're talking about practice.

what's weird about Geminis being twins and how some of these people are linked...

Iverson and 'Melo, teammates.

Frank Thomas and Jeff Bagwell, same exact birthday

Dusty Baker, Kerry Wood... forever connected

Tupac and Biggie - freeky, eh?

Is it too late to nominate 5 players for the rest of the zodiac's? I just came here about 2 or 3 weeks ago so this is the first one I've noticed.

that's a great question - ABSOLUTELY!!! I haven't made the 12 man rosters yet for the big showdown (top 12 vote getters for each sign) - even though the "big Showdown" is for second place - and also to see who the crappiest signs are!

I've noticed you've become more and more lax on including non-sports names in your list as the months go on. That being said I'm going with three of my favorite Indians: Manny Ramirez, Kenny Lofton and Travis Hafner along with G.H.W.Bush and Marilyn Monroe.

Over the months, I've found more reliable sources... no Bob Hope? (former Indians owner)

All of the "non-athletes" (except Scoop Jackson - I just wanted to expose his bogus nickname) have some sort of sport connection - Yale's former first baseman and Mrs DiMaggio included!

You should see the list of people I barely left out!!!

True, 2pac is definitely more quick-witted and crafty. Being from New York, I'd have to say Biggie is a better choice. :-P

Are you kidding me???? Playing with zodiac signs?? Come on people discuss something other than stats and stupid trivia- you guys hate when a use the word "gay" and "faggy" but this tops the charts-- you call this a sports blog??? You all lose your man cards on this one

maybe you should try Jaythejoke.com

Just because you lack creativity and a mammalian brain doesn't mean everyone else does.

Do you just bitch and complain all the time or do you ever bring anything to the table (other than your man-crush on me)???

Bring anything to the table??? My articles average over 70 comments each you douchebag. Creativity??? There is nothing creative about playing around with stats and who is an Aries or a Gemini or anything.

Ju man- at jaythejoke they don't burn your mancard they just aren't all a bunch of homo's playing girly games like what I'm witnessing here.

As far as the man crush thing that's kind of a homosexual thing thinking that a man has a crush on them-- I don't think you want to stick your dick up my butt. Do you wish I did???

Well, Mr. The World Revolves Around You. You are a joke - 70 comments per article just means that the article didn't say anything. Especially when 40 of the comments are yours, troll. Comments are easy to attain - if you look, I have made nearly 9000 of them in a year. You are a Schmuck. You have no awareness of the world around you.

Do a running blog and you could get 250+ comments every time. Comments... big whoop.

Oh yeah, this is Number 12 in the Zodiac series (just a small part of my 175 "Good Stuffers" in the past 12 months) as I have been doing them once a month for the past year... and you're the first person to complain. Idiot.

Just ignore me, Jamel. It's for your own safety. I'm too much for your feeble, closed, little mind to handle.

You obviously are jelous of me or you wouldn't pay so much attention to me.... that's the way you JTJ'ers are. Backwards.

If you don't like the articles don't read them. Otherwise, you're just screaming your jealousy... (psst... you can't have me!)

You come here, to an established community that you willingly joined and call us "all homos" - good one.

And YOU are the guy who has written HOW MANY articles with some variation of MY name in it??? (I can't count all the ones that were deleted, so we may never know...)

Seriously. Do you read what you write or do you just pop off all the time?

I do love you Manny- I have watched all your youtube videos- they are great. I also know where you live- I have even paid a detective to learn everything they can about you- you should close your blinds when you do stuff like that around your computer.

And I don't know how to read- I'm just a stupid poor black guy from the south side of chicago
