Stew Hofferth (Stewart Edward Hofferth) was born on January 27, 1913 in Logansport, Indiana. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1944 for the Boston Braves. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .200 with 1 home run and 26 RBI. Hofferth played for the Boston Braves for his entire 3 year career.
