Born on August 22, 1972 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, Steve Kline (Steven James Kline) played for the Montreal Expos, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 10 year career. Kline broke into the bigs on April 2, 1997 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 5.98 ERA in 52.2 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Steve Kline's best season was 2001, when he posted a 1.80 ERA and struck out 54 batters.
