Born on October 6, 1947 in Wenatchee, Washington, Steve Kline (Steven Jack Kline) played for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 6 year career. Kline broke into the bigs on July 10, 1970 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 3.41 ERA in 100.1 innings pitched in 1970, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Steve Kline's best season was 1972, when he posted a 2.40 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 58 batters.
