[edit] Biography

Born on May 15, 1975 in Hartselle, Alabama, Steve Woodard (Steven Larry Woodard) played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 7 year career. Woodard broke into the bigs on July 28, 1997 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and put up a 4.18 ERA in 165.2 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Steve Woodard's best season was 1998, when he posted a 4.18 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 135 batters.

[edit] Mitchell Report

Steve was named in the Mitchell Report -- In a September 7, 2007 article, the New York Daily News reported that Steve Woodard, a former pitcher who played with four different major league clubs over seven seasons ending in 2003 (the Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and Boston Red Sox), received a shipment of steroids and human growth hormone from The Health and Rejuvenation Center, the same Palm Beach Gardens anti-aging center that reportedly supplied St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Rick Ankiel. The article did not state when the shipment to Woodard allegedly occurred.
