Steve Towle (Stephen Richards Towle) was born on October 23, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas. After going to high school at West (Shawnee Mission, KS), Towle attended the University of Kansas. Towle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1978 was Steve Towle's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
