Steve Toole

Born on April 9, 1859 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Steve Toole (Stephen John Toole) played for the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers, Kansas City Cowboys and Brooklyn Gladiators over the course of his 4 year career. Toole broke into the bigs on April 20, 1886 with the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers, and put up a 4.41 ERA in 104 innings pitched in 1886, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Steve Toole's best season was 1887, when he posted a 4.31 ERA and won 14 games.
