Steve Tensi (Stephen Michael Tensi) was born on December 8, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio. After going to high school at Elder (Cincinnati. OH), Tensi attended Florida State University. Tensi made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the San Diego Chargers. He played in the AFL for 5 years, playing for the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 5 year AFL career.Tensi also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time.

Most people believe that 1969 was Steve Tensi's best year, as he tossed 14 TDs.
