Steve Sullivan (Stephen Patrick Sullivan) was born on July 1, 1898 in Butte, Montana. After going to high school at Butte (MT), Sullivan attended the University of Montan. Sullivan made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Milwaukee Badgers. He played for the Kansas City Blues, Hammond Pros and Milwaukee Badgers over the course of his 3 year career.
