Steve Staggs (Stephen Robert Staggs) was born on May 6, 1951 in Anchorage, Alaska. He made his Major League debut on July 1, 1977 for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 1977, his rookie year, he hit .259 with 2 home runs and 28 RBI. Staggs played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 2 year career.
