Steve Petro (Stephen L. Petro) was born on October 21, 1914 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Petro attended the University of Pittsburgh. Petro made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 2 year career.
