Steve Okoniewski (John Stephen Okoniewski) was born on August 22, 1949 in Bremerton, Washington. After going to high school at Central Kitsap (Silverdale, WA), Okoniewski attended Everett CC, the University of Montan and the University of Washington. Okoniewski made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1976 was Steve Okoniewski's best year.
