Steve Nicosia (Steven Richard Nicosia) was born on August 6, 1955 in Paterson, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on July 8, 1978 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1979, his rookie year, he hit .288 with 4 home runs and 13 RBI. Nicosia played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Expos over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Steve Nicosia's best season was 1979, when he hit for a .288 average.
