Born on February 29, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri, Steve Mingori (Stephen Bernard Mingori) played for the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 10 year career. Mingori broke into the bigs on August 5, 1970 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 1.43 ERA in 56.2 innings pitched in 1971, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Steve Mingori's best season was 1976, when he posted a 2.32 ERA and notched 10 saves.
