Steve Maronic (Steven Jesse Maronic) was born on May 30, 1917 in , PA. After going to high school at Steelton (PA), Maronic attended the University of North Carolina. Maronic made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 2 year career.
