Steve Lake (Steven Michael Lake) was born on March 14, 1957 in Inglewood, California. He made his Major League debut on April 9, 1983 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 2 home runs and 19 RBI. Lake played for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 11 year career.
