Steve Lach (Stephen John Lach) was born on August 16, 1920 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Altoona (PA), Lach attended Duke University. Lach made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Steve Lach's best year, as he ran in 8 TDs.
