Born on September 8, 1942 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Steve Hargan (Steven Lowell Hargan) played for the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 12 year career. Hargan broke into the bigs on August 3, 1965 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 3.43 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched in 1965, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Steve Hargan's best season was 1966, when he posted a 2.48 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 132 batters.
