Steve Freeman (Steven Jay Freeman) was born on May 8, 1953 in Lamesa, Texas. After going to high school at Whitehaven (Memphis, TN), Freeman attended Mississippi State University. Freeman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the Buffalo Bills. He played for the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 13 year career.
Most people believe that 1980 was Steve Freeman's best year, as he picked off 7 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
