Born on October 3, 1949 in Duluth, Minnesota, Steve Foucault (Steven Raymond Foucault) played for the Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 6 year career. Foucault broke into the bigs on April 7, 1973 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 3.88 ERA in 55.2 innings pitched in 1973, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Steve Foucault's best season was 1974, when he posted a 2.24 ERA, notched 12 saves and struck out 106 batters.
