Born on December 31, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Steve Engel (Steven Michael Engel) played for the Chicago Cubs for his entire 1 year career. Engel broke into the bigs on July 30, 1985 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 5.57 ERA in 51.2 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.
