Steve Doig (Stephen Gugel Doig) was born on March 28, 1960 in Melrose, Massachusetts. After going to high school at North Reading (MA), Doig attended the University of New Hampshire. Doig made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1986 was Steve Doig's best year.
