Steve Davis (Steven Timothy Davis) was born on November 10, 1948 in Lexington, Virginia. After going to high school at Lexington (VA) and Lylburn Downing (Lexington, VA), Davis attended Delaware State University. Davis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1974 was Steve Davis's best year.
