Steve Brye (Stephen Robert Brye) was born on February 4, 1949 in Alameda, California. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1970 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .241 with 0 home runs and 12 RBI. Brye played for the Minnesota Twins, Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Steve Brye's best season was 1974, when he hit for a .283 average.
