Steve Barnett (Jerry Stephen Barnett) was born on June 4, 1941 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Washington (Fremont, CA), Barnett attended the University of Oregon. Barnett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears over the course of his 2 year career.
