Steve Balboni (Stephen Charles Balboni) was born on January 16, 1957 in Brockton, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 22, 1981 for the New York Yankees. In 1984, his rookie year, he hit .244 with 28 home runs and 77 RBI. Balboni played for the New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals, Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Steve Balboni's best season was 1985, when he slugged 36 home runs and knocked in 88 runs.
