Steve Atkins (Steve E. Atkins) was born on June 22, 1956 in Spotsylvania, Virginia. After going to high school at Spotsylvania (VA), Atkins attended the University of Maryland. Atkins made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1979 was Steve Atkins's best year.
