Steve Alvord (Steven Lee Alvord) was born on October 2, 1964 in Bellingham, Washington. After going to high school at Bellingham (WA), Alvord attended the University of Washington. Alvord made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Phoenix Cardinals and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1988 was Steve Alvord's best year.
