Steve Alvers (Steve Dean Alvers) was born on April 4, 1958 in West Palm Beach, Florida. After going to high school at North (Miami Beach, FL), Alvers attended Taft College and the University of Miami. Alvers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the Buffalo Bills. He played for the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 2 year career.
