Stephen A Smith Hates ArmchairGM

Stephen A. Smith seems worried that one of you might just take his job away.
Rather than go off on a tirade against this idiot (I'm currently waging war against Jay Mariotti involving Mark Cuban, more on that later...), I have elected to allow Smith hang himself on his own spew :
- "And when you look at the internet business, what’s dangerous about it is that people who are clearly unqualified get to disseminate their piece to the masses. I respect the journalism industry, and the fact of the matter is ...someone with no training should not be allowed to have any kind of format whatsoever to disseminate to the masses to the level which they can. They are not trained. Not experts. More important are the level of ethics and integrity that comes along with the quote-unqoute profession hasn’t been firmly established and entrenched in the minds of those who’ve been given that license.
- "Therefore, there’s a total disregard, a level of wrecklessness that ends up being a domino effect. And the people who suffer are the common viewers out there and, more importantly, those in the industry who haven’t been fortunate to get a radio or television deal and only rely on the written word. And now they’ve been sabotaged. Not because of me. Or like me. But because of the industry or the world has allowed the average joe to resemble a professional without any credentials whatsoever."
Evidently, Smith is not a big fan of the American Constitution and especially hates that annoying little bit about freedom of speech. This is rather significant rant from a public figure against bloggers and the right to disseminate information.
This is an attack against you.
Feel free to vent here.

On top of that, I don't think all that many people on here pretend to be experts. I feel a majority of articles are opinion based, and if backed by fact, are often discussed and disputed in a way that his television and radio censors would never allow.
So, F Stephen A. Smith and his B.S. statements.
On a final note, there are thousands of television journalists out there. Your market is flooded and your presence is meaningless. I worked in radio for 5 years, television for one and print for two. All of you hosts are the same. The one commonality between on-air hosts, whether radio or television is this - who did you F over to get there?
