"Mission accomplished.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers slotback Milt Stegall set an all-time CFL record on Friday night, scoring his 138th career touchdown against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The touchdown moved him ahead of CFL legends George Reed and Mike Pringle, making Stegall the most prolific scorer in CFL history. With the Blue Bombers situated on the Hamilton one-yard line, quarterback Kevin Glenn faked a handoff to running back Charles Roberts, shuffled to his right, and made a short toss to Stegall who was running a sweep pattern. Stegall jumped away from a diving Tiger-Cat crossing the goal line. Stegall immediately pointed to the sky and was mobbed by teammates." courtesy of cfl.ca
The problem with this news is that the majority of the sporting world will not know that it happened. Like most of the users on this site, because it happened in Canada and in the CFL, it just isn't worthy enough to be "real" sports news. ESPN may make a short blurb about it tonight, but I am not holding my breath on that.
And as for the users here, I think that most of you are too blinded by the "NFL is the best and only football" mentality, that you are too biased to see this as a great event worth talking about."
