Steelers 2007 Predictions...

by Black&Gold Girl

I know it's a little early to make predictions, but what the heck, work is slow today.

Game 1: Steelers vs Browns -This game is in Cleveland, but I don't think it matters.  Seriously, sometimes I think there are more Steelers fans than Browns fans in Cleveland.  And you can't blame them.  -Browns best move was taking Thomas with the no. 3 pick.  Worst move taking Quinn. -Steelers win this one by a land slide.  28-3.  Sorry Romeo, it may be time to move on.

Game 2: Steelers vs Buffalo -I like the Bills.  I always felt sorry for them after losing so many SBs.  However, they let McGahee go.  Why? -They've had serious issues with the QB position for quite some time.  Steelers will have at least 5 sacks this game. -First home game means domination.  21-6 Steelers win.

Game 3: Steelers vs 49ers -Again another home game.  49ers have no idea what cold weather is like.  -49ers QB Smith gets torn a new one.  (Although I wouldn't mind seeing ex-PSU QB Robinson have a decent day) -Much improved Niners team can't handle the tightly disciplined and aggressive play of the Steelers.  28-6 Steelers win.

Game 4: Steelers vs Cardinals -We're all looking forward to this one.  Too bad it's in Arizona although their stadium is quite nice. -Give the Cardinals a couple of years and they might be decent, but not this year.  -Big Ben has nearly flawless day throwing for over 300 yards and 3 TDs.  Steelers win 35-17.

Game 5: Steelers vs Seahawks -This game is in Pittsburgh and the Seahawks still aren't over their lose in SBXL.  Plus, they haven't got much better.  They've lost a lot of talent. -Seahawks try their hardest to validate themselves, but come up short - again. Steelers win 27-24.

Bye -It's crucial that the Steelers win these first 5 games, because the schedule gets much harder from here on out.

Game 6: Steelers vs Broncos -This one depends on Cutler.  If he turns out to be awesome, we might be in trouble.  However, if he plays more like Jake then we're set. -Note to Big Ben: Stay away from Champ Bailey. -Nail-biter game.  Again this is Cutler's one to win or lose.  Coming off a bye though, I think we get the nod.  17-14.  Defensive battle with Pittsburgh narrowly escaping and gasping for air.

Game 7: Steelers vs Bengals -The Bengals are going to want this one really bad, especially in their hometown.  -QB battle to see who can throw for the most yards.  -Palmer may throw for more, but the Bengals D is too weak to hold off the Steelers.  Look for Carey Davis and Fast Willie to run all over them.  21-18 Steelers.

Game 8: Steelers vs Ravens -Monday night football in Pittsburgh.  This game is about redemption. -McNair gets popped and has to leave the game early.  Steelers defense tortures backup Boller, as usual.  -Low scoring game.  Tomlin shows what he's really made of with the Steelers pulling this one off 13-10.

Game 9: Steelers vs Browns -We all know how this one ends.

Game 10: Steelers vs Jets -The Jets had a decent season last year, but I think it was a fluke. -Aging team with a beat up QB.  -Battle of two young NFL coaches ends up with Tomlin on top.  The Jets are always so good at giving games away.  24-17 Steelers win.

Game 11: Steelers vs Dolphins -Love ya Joey, but you'll have little impact in this one. -Note to Dolphins: Ed Ginn sucks; you shouldn't have never taken him 9th.  And I'm not saying that because I'm a PSU fan, oh wait, yes I am. -Steelers win 17-7.

Game 12: Steelers vs Bengals -Sunday night game.  Again the Bengals spend the whole week talking about the Steelers.  When are they going to get that they aren't as good as us and never will be? -However, they are better at getting arrested. -Bengals defense puts up a good fight, but gets tired in the 2nd half and the Steelers run away with it. Steelers win 35-21.

Game 13: Steelers vs Patriots -Played in Foxboro.  This game could be the hardest of the season.  -Brady plays very well, so does Big Ben. -Redemption is ours! Steelers win in OT 24-21.  Yeah, Jeff Reed! Even if you do have giant man nipples.

Game 14: Steelers vs Jags -The Jags still don't know who they want as QB.  Garrard replaces Leftwich after halftime.  -This game is in Pittsburgh and the Steelers are pretty hard to beat at home. -Steelers win in close battle 14-10.

Game 15: Steelers vs Rams -Thursday night game.  Yeah! -Rams are aging and can't keep up with our pace.  Plus, we always win night games.  Steelers win 28-24.  Bulger puts up a good fight but throws too many interceptions.

Game 16: Steelers vs Ravens -This will be the best game of the season.  Both teams will be battling it out for the division title and a playoff spot. -The Steelers always play their best ball at the end of the season and this year's the same.  -Steelers strip away their post-season hopes just like we did last year to the Bengals.  Sorry Ravens - you lose.

We'll have to wait on post-season predictions.  And I know some of you may be saying, "You picked them to win every game.  That's impossible".  My response: You're mistaken, my friend.  Remember I'm a Steelers fan which means I suffer from delusions of grandeur and I would never, ever predict my team to lose.

!!!!GO STEELERS!!!!

You have the Steelers going 16-0. Wow, you got a fine gallon of moonshine this week! :) Steelers should be about 10-6 and a playoff team this year. Anything beyond that, and you are being, like you said, delusional.

The 49ers have no idea what cold weather is like...on September 23??? Let's see, avg high temperature on 9/23 in Pittsburgh is 73 degrees; the avg high temperature on 9/23 in San Francisco is 73 degrees. The game is at 1:00 p.m. Yep, the 49ers are in for a rude weather awakening.

I like how for the Patriots game, you didn't even try to explain or justify your prediction. You just said Brady is good, Ben is good, Steelers win 24-21. They sniff some mighty fine glue in Pittsburgh.

I had hoped to learn something about the Steelers from this article, but these people (Steeler Cuntry) simply aren't very analytical. Steelers go 8-8 even with an easy first half.

I love remenising (sorry about the spelling) about the time the Bengals made the playoffs. One good year (in which the Steelers beat them 3 times) and they think they are tops in the division. Now that is dilusional.

They didn't beat the Bengals 3 times that year. We beat you week 13, 38-31 in Pittsburgh. Bengals would have won that playoff game too. Jon Kitna cant make up for Carson Palmer. But I'm not one to hold old grudges. We'll beat you both times this year and help Fat Ben accomplish a new single-season interception record. I'll see you watching the playoffs from home, sucka.

16-0 may be a stretch but the Seahawks? Give me a break, how much longer do you think they can ride Alexander? We will do fine with Tomlin and the folks in Arizona will find out how mediocre Wiz really is. Don't you think if the Rooneys wanted Wiz they would have made some type of offer?

In what semi-retarded world do the Steelers sweep the Ravens this season? There is absolutely no research or fact-based opinion behind this, it's all about your passion for the Steelers, which I respect, but it's also blinding you from the truth...the Ravens have more talent than they did last year on offense, and remember, they went 13-3...yeah we lost AD, but Rex Ryan is a genius and it will be a 2-man job to replace him...those jobs belong to Bart Scott, who is just as versatile but not as big, and played some safety in college...the other belongs to Jarrett Johnson, who is a better run stopper than AD...the only place we lose out is in the pass rush...oh wait, we have Trevor Pryce and Terrell Suggs...no worries there...

Hate to break it to you, sweetheart...The Ravens and Steelers will prolly split the season series, as usual, with both teams winning on home turf...

But I really did enjoy wiping the floor with your black and gold pansies last year...TWICE...once, shutting you out and the other time beating Big Ben like a red-headed step child...

Bart Scott's hit on Big Big was #1 on the season for ESPN's Jacked Up segment...

Since Carson Palmer became the starter in 2004 the Steelers have won 4 out of the six regular season games played and also won the only playoff game between the two since then. I don't recall kimo rolling over his knee 5 times, do you? The Steelers won that game fair and square. The Bengals would not have won the superbowl if Palmer hadn't of gotten hurt. Face it, the Bungles aren't that good.

What is it with Steelers fans? I guess all that industrial waste has gone to your collective hominid brains. And have you forgotten that you were outclassed by the Bengals last year and that you only won the second game because of a mistake THEY made? That was good luck for you and you deserve the win but COME ON. Browns fans might be very long suffering, but at least they aren't deluded. 16-0!!!!?? You'll go 10-6 if you're extremely lucky. Furthermore, I predict you lose to the 49ers and the Broncos. Doesn't it bother you that you only beat good teams when THEY are having a bad game. Your superbowl victory counts for nothing. Lucky for you, Tony Dungy's son commmited suicide and Kimo von Idiot broke Palmer's leg, or you wouldn't have had a chance. Ben "The Neandrethal" Rothlisburger is a one hit wonder like Brad Johnson and will never be among the top quarterbacks in the league, Steelers fans self-dillusions notwithstanding. YOU ARE A MORON.
