Born on February 24, 1909 in Riverdale, Illinois, Steamboat Struss (Clarence Herbert Struss) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career. Struss broke into the bigs on September 30, 1934 with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
