Friday Night at the American Airlines Center, the Dallas Stars defeated the Nashville Predators 4-1. With the win, the Stars have won the last two games at home and won two straight games after coming back to defeat Colorado on Wednesday.

After the Predators scored early in the 1st period, Dallas responded with three power play goals. Antti Miettinen tied the game at 1-1 seven minutes into the second period. Then, Jere Lehtinen scored seven minutes into the third period, giving the Stars their first lead of the game. Finally, Antti Miettinen finished the specialty scoring for the Stars as he scored his second goal of the game thirty one seconds after Lehtinen's tally.

After Miettinen's second goal, the Stars held on as Marty Turco made nineteen saves and Patrik Stefan scored an empty net goal, giving the Stars a 4-1 victory.

The Stars finish out 2006 on Sunday Night as they host their Pacific Division rivals, the San Jose Sharks in what should be a competitive and entertaining contest.

Notes: Special Teams Comes Through For Dallas

Wednesday Night at Colorado: 3 Goals On The Power Play

Friday Night vs. Nashville: 3 Goals On The Power Play

-When the Team seems to be on the wrong end of the Injury Bug, the Special Teams have stepped up, acting as the catalyst that this team needs when their captain and one of their assistant captain is out with injuries....

Injury Bug:

Speaking of Injuries, Brenden Morrow rejoined the Injured Reserve List with a wrist injury and will be sidelined for at least 2 months.

Morrow joins Modano (lower leg) and Steve Ott (ankle) as players who are nursing injuries. Modano has skated with the team in morning skates and practices, but has yet to be healthy enough to make an impact during games.

As for Ott, he should be back in early 2007.

Arnott Returns to Dallas:

Jason Arnott returned to the American Airlines Center for the first time as a Predators, after he signed a free agent contract with Nashville in off-season. Yet, his 1st game in Dallas as a Predator was not a memorable one, as he played only 15 minutes of ice time, had two shots on goal, won less then 50% of his faceoffs and was on the ice for Stefan's empty net goal.

For a player that scored more goals then any other Dallas Star in 2005-06, going pointless on Friday Night had to be a disappointment.

Thank you Leslie, I try to do a game recap for every game I work.

I may not do them immediately, as I have some other jobs to work and an addicting game for the PSP (Tiger Woods 2007). But, every one that I do, I try to write them the best way I can.....

Thanks again for your compliments....
